Margi Gras is an inclusive Mardi Gras in Margaret River that celebrates equality for everyone.
Music, dancing, drag queens, entertainers, cool cars, food trucks, licensed area and Margaret River's first public same-sex wedding!

This inaugural celebration is proudly sponsored by The River Hotel and supported by many local businesses, kind donations and organised by a volunteer committee.

Free entertainment from 5pm to 8pm at the Margaret River Cultural Centre Lawns including five fabulous ladies from Perth Drag Queens! You won’t want to miss this.
With amazing make-up, bigger-than-life hair and dazzling outfits, Scarlet Adams, Veronica Jean Jones, Katya Kokov, Perri Oxide and Donna Kebab will put on an unforgettable family-friendly performance of hilarious songs, dance and acts.
This is a warm up before their more risqué show at the Margi Gras After Party at The River Hotel - tickets on sale now.
Margi Gras will start with Margaret River's first public same-sex wedding and you're invited! Witness Rebecca marry her long term partner Sunny.
Margaret River Concert Band and Belly Dancers will get us all in the mood for a party.

Never before seen in Margaret River, Scarlet Adams, Veronica Jean Jones, Katya Kokov, Perri Oxide and Donna Kebab from Perth Drag Queens will put on a show like nothing else. This is the adults only version of the Margi Gras entertainment. Expect a camp collection of sexy songs, enthralling dance routines and side-splitting comedy all in impeccably coiffed coloured wigs.
Between performances, a DJ will mix the party tunes, getting you amped to hit the dancefloor.
Tickets on sale 9am Wednesday 17th January.

Rebecca Hannan is a fabulous and professional speaker, coach and trainer and has a background in the health and fitness industry and real estate. If you need to get it done, Rebecca will motivate you. Rebecca will marry her long-term partner Sunny during Margi Gras and is the event's Chairperson.
Dianne Bortoletto, owner of Pronto PR, is a public relations professional and freelance writer with expertise in tourism, major events, food and wine and motorsport. Her enthusiasm knows no bounds and if she can't get you excited about it, then no one can. Dianne is the PR and Media Manager for Margi Gras.
Miriam Avery creates stunning wedding and event styling and offers an event management consultancy in Margaret River and she is also a multi award winning floral designer. Super organised Miriam is the Operations Manager for Margi Gras.
Julie Kiker is a finance professional. For Margi Gras, she'll keep everything balanced with her budgeting skills as well as supporting the team with admin.
The vision is to grow Margi Gras into a fabulous inclusive annual public event, street party/parade and celebration that attracts visitors and locals alike as well as promotes Margaret River as a wedding destination for all couples.
